Game Days at Nick’s: Your October 2026 Sports Bar Guide in Ocean City, MD

sports bar with tv's and liquor shelf

Football season is rolling, and October might be the best month of the year to be a fan in Ocean City. The summer traffic has cleared out, the evenings have that first cool bite, and Sundays belong to the Ravens and the Commanders. Here at Nick’s, we’ve got the big screens, cold craft beer on tap, and a kitchen full of ribs and wings to make every game feel like a home game.

Below is everything you need to plan your October around kickoff, plus a few Ocean City events worth working into your weekends.

The Ravens in October

  • Sunday, Oct. 11: at Atlanta Falcons, 8:20 p.m. (NBC, Sunday Night Football)
  • Sunday, Oct. 18: at Cleveland Browns, 1 p.m. (FOX)
  • Sunday, Oct. 25: vs. Cincinnati Bengals, 1 p.m.

The Atlanta trip is the first primetime game of Jesse Minter’s first season as head coach, so expect a full house for that one. Then the month closes with back-to-back AFC North matchups against Cleveland and Cincinnati, the first real look at where Baltimore stands in the division. Grab a seat early for the Bengals game. It lands on Sunfest weekend, and North OC will be busy.

The Commanders in October

  • Sunday, Oct. 11: vs. New York Giants, 1 p.m.
  • Monday, Oct. 19: at San Francisco 49ers, 8:15 p.m. (Monday Night Football)
  • Sunday, Oct. 25: Bye week
  • Sunday, Nov. 1: vs. Philadelphia Eagles, 8:20 p.m. (Sunday Night Football)

October 11 is a full football Sunday for Maryland fans: Commanders at 1, Ravens under the lights at 8:20. Come for lunch, stay for dinner. And mark your calendar for November 1. Nick’s sits just a few minutes south of the Delaware line, so we see plenty of Eagles fans from Fenwick Island and the Delaware beaches. Commanders vs. Eagles on Sunday night should make for a lively bar.

What’s on the Game-Day Table

Football food is serious business at Nick’s, and our kitchen has been doing scratch-made
comfort food in Ocean City since 1983. A few crowd favorites for game day:

  • Wings tossed in your choice of sauce, made for sharing (or not)
  • A half rack of ribs with our signature sauce, the dish that put Nick’s on the map
  • Crab dip and BBQ shrimp for the table
  • Crabby Mac, our mac and cheese loaded with crab
  • The Onion Loaf, because every game needs one

Wash it all down with something from our craft beer list or one of the craft cocktails from the Pub.

Make a Weekend of It: October Events in Ocean City

If you’re heading to the beach for a game weekend, there’s plenty going on around town this month.

Sunfest, Oct. 22 to 25. One of the region’s largest outdoor festivals takes over the Inlet at the south end of the Boardwalk, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Admission is free, and you’ll find handmade arts and crafts, live music on two stages, festival food, and fall activities like the Dock Dogs competition and Truck or Treat. New this year, Wine on the Beach moves inside the Sunfest grounds.

OCtoberfest, Saturday, Oct. 24. Shore Craft Beer’s bayfront festival returns to the lawn outside the Cambria Hotel downtown, with more than 30 beverage options, live music, and food trucks.
It’s a separate ticket from Sunfest.

Here’s our pro tip for Sunfest weekend: spend Sunday morning browsing at the Inlet, then head up Coastal Highway to 145th Street in time for Ravens vs. Bengals at 1. You’ll skip the downtown crowds, find easy parking, and land at a table with a game on in front of you.
